Terminal and files
Terminal
Section titled “Terminal”A project’s Terminal tab opens a shell in the project’s working folder, as its agents’ account, in its container or on its server.
- Shells: the tab holds shell tabs (“Shell 1”, “Shell 2”, …) and a + for a New shell; each is its own shell. Its line says where it is connected, with A− and A+ for the text size, Font, Copy (the selection), Reconnect and Full screen.
- Font: name a font installed on your device (a Nerd Font for prompt symbols, for example), shown with a preview; it says so when the device doesn’t have it. Or upload a font file (.ttf, .otf, .woff or .woff2, up to 10 MB): its regular style, and optionally bold, italic and bold italic. An uploaded font is kept with your account and used on every device you sign in on; only use fonts whose licence allows it.
- Kept running: a shell keeps running when you leave the tab, reload, lose the network, or ProjectStart restarts; the tab attaches to it again and shows its last output. Opened from another device or tab, the new one takes it over and the first says Disconnected, with Reconnect and Close.
- Phones: the card follows the visible screen above the keyboard, with a row of keys: Esc, Tab, Ctrl, ↑ ↓ ← →, |, /, ~, -.
- Ended: a shell ends when it exits, when its tab’s × closes it, when you sign out, or when the project goes to the Trash. Its tab then says so and when, with Start a new session and Close.
- History: each shell’s start and end is a History entry naming who opened it and how long it ran. What is typed or shown is never recorded.
- Where it works: a container (here or on a server) or a Linux or Mac server with Python 3. A server with an older runner asks you to update it first. A Windows virtual machine or Windows server has no terminal yet, and neither has a project in the Trash.
The chat header’s Files button opens the Files dialog: the agent’s working folder and the files of the chat.
- Hidden files: files and folders whose names start with a dot are listed only while Show hidden files is on (off by default, remembered per browser).
- Thumbnails: images show a small thumbnail once it is ready; until then, the file icon.
- Chat files has a Type menu: All types, then each kind of file the chat has, with its count (Images, Videos, Audio, PDFs, Pages, Office documents, Code and text, Archives, Other). Under Code and text, each file type (PHP, TS, CSS, HTML, MD…) can be picked alone. It works with the day picked.
- Sort: a folder sorts by Name (the default), Modified, Created or Size, folders always first. Chat files sort by Added (the default), Name or Size. Reversed turns the order around. The choice is remembered per browser.
- Bookmark: each file, in the list and in its preview, can be bookmarked; the Bookmarked filter lists only those (see Bookmarks).
File links in the chat
Section titled “File links in the chat”When an agent’s message links to a file path (with a line number or not), tapping it opens that file’s preview in the Files dialog, never a page of the site. A file outside the agent’s working folder, or one that is gone, says so.
